Clothing Ministry

Mission Statement

To establish a ministry empowered by the Holy Spirit of Christ that will equip offenders, ex-offenders and their families to become productive in the community. To be a role model to the local churches and to raise the standard of thr Prison Ministry's outreach for the 21st Century.

FOCUS

The Ministry's primary focus is to equip individuals in the ministry and provide avenues for re-entry into society.  In addition to on-site ministry, we provide other programs, support groups to be conducted at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. This is truly the day for the church to step beyond its boundaries and to offer not only hope through the gospel but some practical assistance to a world disabled by dysfunction and no personal relationship with God. Locked beneath the trappings of addiction, prostitution, crime and homelessness, lay silent treasures waiting to be released. We must, as the body of Christ the sleeping giant, rise out of our comfortable setting and rescue these hidden deposits of greatness. Along with mending power of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit, we must as disciples of Christ help to point these lives in the direction of their life in Christ. As a result, they can return to their families, church, community as role models and to the body of Christ, as evidence of the love, power and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
